When can I start?

You may start this course at anytime.
When the fees are paid you will receive a confirmation e-mail with online registration details. As soon as you complete an online registration, the first assignment will be sent to you by email.

*Course duration is one month. Candidates for JLPT3 exam this year should apply as early as possible.
*Ms. Iijima is on holiday from August 2 to August 11 2008. During this time Q&A service via bulletin board system (BBS) is not available. However, your assignments will be marked and corrected as normal.


What are the benefits of the course?

This short and intensive course helps you build up your knowledge and skills in Japanese vocabulary, script, reading comprehension and grammatical competence.
Fully interactive Q&A is available. Using our bulleting board system (BBS) you may ask all questions and receive answers from the tutor.
You can evaluate your present Japanese language skills. Knowing your language level is difficult especially if you are a self-learner, but it is very important not only for the JLPT exam but also for you to gauge your level for further study.
The rate of course progress (an assignment every week) will also help you get into a regular study routine to practically prepare for the JLPT exam.

 

Can I cancel the course? Would I receive any money back?

Our refund policy applies as below;
1) Cancellation within a week (before the 7th calendar day since the first assignment has been received by you but not yet submitted to J-OS): J-OS will refund 100% of the tuition paid.
2) Cancellation within two weeks (before the 14th calendar day since the first assignment has been received by you and you have not submitted the second assignment): J-OS will refund 50% of the tuition paid.
3) Cancellation after two weeks (on and after 15th calendar day since the first assignment has been received by you): No refunds available.
*Bank fees (including any charges for remittance) for any refunds are the sole responsibility of the student who is terminating the service.


In case of sickness, business trips etc, may I take any time off from the course?

You may extend your course duration up to three months. Prior to any time off from the course please contact J-OS support staff.
*Your registration is valid for three months. You may not continue after that..

Any recommended texts to study Japanese?

This course is suitable for students who have finished studying with; "Minna no Nihongo vol.1 and 2", "Japanese for Busy People vol. 1-3" and other equivalent introductory textbooks.
